International Education Center for the development of human resources in the age of globalization

IEC of Songwon University is a government organization with the aim to develop and foster human resources in the age of globalization and achieve the following tasks.

First, IEC plays a leading role in revitalization of international education through exchange with international education organizations domestic and abroad, send and invite students.

Second, IEC offers students an opportunity to explore, research, and study foreign languages and foreign cultures. The ultimate goal of the language programs is to qualify our students for careers that demand competence in the global, information age. To accomplish these objectives, the faculty provides students with valuable educational opportunities which emphasize practical usage and mastery of each language being studied.

Third, IEC offers Korean language and culture programs to foreigners residing in Korea, Koreans overseas, and adoptees from different countries. Through its one-to-one tutoring system, IEC also provides a substantial cross-cultural communications program. IEC also promotes the diffusion of Korean Studies through the Korean History and Culture Lecture Series that is held annually.

ICE will provide further enhanced educational administrative services through the development and utilization of specialized programs. Furthermore, we will put forth our utmost effort to play a pivotal role to become a leading institute of international education exchanges.
